Christmas in Key West, Florida

Hello Everyone!

I hope each of you had a wonderful Christmas!  We spent a very quiet Christmas in Key West, Florida at Boyd's RV Resort. Unfortunately it did rain every day.  But it didn't rain ALL day every day.  Wearing flip flops and shorts was a nice change of pace too.

It took us three days to get there from Louisiana.  The traffic was neck to neck all the way to the southern most tip of the United States.  We saw license plates from all over the US and Canada. The campground told us that Christmas is their busiest season.

We celebrated an early Christmas with our families before leaving for Florida.  I hope to post some pictures once I get a good internet connection.  I know my pictures will not do the scenery justice. When it is cloudy, the water doesn't look as turquoise,

On our trek back toward  Louisiana, we have found a new destination paradise.  We stayed near St. Petersburg and I really loved the area.  There is so much to do.  It is closer than Key West, so we will probably come back here in a few months.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Kathy

  1. We went to Pensacola, FL last year and they had a record cold spell, and we left our winter jackets at home! It was FREEZING! It was kinda depressing because we drove all the way from Wisconsin seeking warmer weather and didn't get it. Everyone there said the weather was very rare. We still managed to have a good time though!
